Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SlideKick (“SlideKick”, “we”, “us”), a product operated by Pirx, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SlideKick add-on for Google Slides (the “Service”). We built SlideKick to ask for the narrowest access it needs to do its job — and to be transparent about exactly what that means.
The short version. SlideKick only works with the presentation you have open. It uses your Google account email to identify you, reads and edits that presentation to carry out the tasks you ask for, and saves only the files it generates for you to your Google Drive. We never sell your data and never use your content to train AI models.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Pirx (the “data controller”). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@slidekick.pirx.ai.
2. Information we access
SlideKick requests a limited set of Google OAuth scopes. Each is used only for the purpose described below:
- Your Google account email (
userinfo.email) — to identify your account, associate your usage and settings with you, and provide support. - The presentation you are working in (
presentationsandpresentations.currentonly) — to read the slides, text, layout, and images of the deck you have open so SlideKick can carry out the edits you request (drafting slides, generating and placing images, fixing layouts). - Files SlideKick creates (
drive.file) — a per-file scope that lets SlideKick save only the assets it generates for you (such as images it creates) to your Google Drive. It does not grant access to browse, read, or manage the rest of your Drive. - Sidebar & network scopes (
script.container.ui,script.external_request) — to display the SlideKick sidebar inside Google Slides and to securely contact our backend to process your requests.
SlideKick does not request the broad drive scope and cannot see presentations or files you have not opened with it.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — interpreting your request, reading the open slide, and applying the resulting edits to your presentation.
- To generate content you ask for, such as draft slide copy and images, and to place that content on your slides.
- To maintain short-lived task history so you can review and undo SlideKick’s actions.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service, and to measure usage for billing and capacity.
- To respond to your support requests.
4. AI processing & service providers
To fulfil your requests, SlideKick sends the relevant content from your open presentation (for example, the text and context of the slide you are editing, and your prompt) to AI models that generate the requested text, images, or video. These are processed by:
- Google — Google Cloud (hosting and storage) and Google’s Gemini models (text and image generation) and Veo (video generation).
- Additional third-party AI model providers that we use for certain image or video generation. These providers act as processors on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection terms.
We only send the content needed to complete the specific task you requested. We configure our providers so that your content is used to carry out your request and is not used to train their models, and we do not use your content to train any models of our own.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information or your presentation content.
- We do not use your content for advertising.
- We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not allow our providers to do so.
- We do not access presentations or Drive files you have not used SlideKick with.
6. Data retention
We keep data only as long as needed to provide the Service:
- Slide content used for a task is processed to complete your request and held briefly in a temporary cache (typically a few hours) so repeated actions are fast. It is not retained as a long-term copy of your deck.
- Task and session history (the record of actions, kept to power review and undo) is retained for a limited period and then deleted.
- Account and usage records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, security, and accounting obligations.
Assets SlideKick generates and saves to your Google Drive belong to you and remain in your Drive until you delete them.
7. Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to systems that process your data is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Your rights & choices
- Revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. This stops SlideKick from accessing your Google data.
- Request deletion of your account data by emailing hello@slidekick.pirx.ai.
- Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or restrict processing of your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
9. Google API Services — Limited Use
SlideKick’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
10. Children
SlideKick is intended for use by businesses and adult professionals and is not directed to children under 16.
11. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
